No worries ... we're still alive!

It has been quite a long time since our last post, but it hasn't been due to laziness or slacking on our part. Things have actually been quite busy, we just haven't been able to do an update because we have lost our internet access at home.

The move has taken up a lot of our time and even more of our patience. It all came upon us during a really busy time at work for me which meant the stress levels were high. We also find out now that it was all a little unnecessary as our landlord is thinking of putting the flat back up for rent because he can't sell it.

The company did its share and arranged for movers to cart our stuff the 5 blocks to the new house. It was all said and done in one day, starting at 10am and done by 4pm. At the end we were left with a mountain of boxes and no idea where to put anything. We thought a good night's sleep would help us prepare for a weekend of putting things away, but the bed in the flat was ... inadequate ... and the fact there were no curtains in the bedroom meant we were off first thing in the morning to buy a new bed and some drapes. The bed was easy and could fortunately be delivered the next day and curtains went up in a snap so we were soon resting a little better. Unfortunately the bedroom was the only place we could relax since the new sofas for the apartment hadn't been delivered yet ... even with six weeks notice.

Those are in now, the boxes have been emptied and the contents put away. We're still shuffling some things around and getting used to the new locations, but it is slowly starting to feel like home. Now jsut cable TV and internet and our lives will be back to normal.

We're looking forward to having Fiona's dad come to visit on Wednesday. If it ever stops raining here (a good solid week of all day rain ... ugh) we will probably try to get in a round of golf.

We will try and get some pictures of the new place in the next few weeks. Hopefully the internet connection comes soon!
